THIS IS THE INTERNET, THIS IS YOU, THIS IS DEVO.

Q: Can you choose which songs make the new Devo album?

A: This is the Future! Click HERE

While they may have released their biggest hit in 1980, the iconic new wave/post-punk/art rock band, DEVO, are  still getting at it, still rocking energy domes and surprisingly still relevant.  In addition to gearing up for Lollapalooza and Coachella, DEVO is readying their new album for release this June, and as usual, they’re doing things a little differently. If you saw the DEVO Color Study or caught “DEVO, The Internet & You” at SXSW, you know what I’m talking about. Starting today, DEVO fans will be able to choose which songs make the final album.

In an effort to comply with the growing need for appealing sonic products in the mass market, the band has officially launched the “Devo Song Study” to collect data regarding which of their current roster of recorded material is most appealing to you, the general public. Currently the band has created 16 new songs, which, at the request of corporate leadership, must be narrowed down to 12 for the official album release. This interactive test will gauge your exact opinion on matters of musical taste and is the latest technological wrinkle in facilitating DEVO’s ongoing mission to appeal to everybody. They need you, the harrowed content consumer, to determine these final 12 songs. Please participate in the “Devo Song Study” by going online to:
