NORTHSIDE FEST: THE PASS, SLOW ANIMAL, THE ZOOKEEPERS, FAMILY TREES

Posted in discosalt

As the Northside Fest draws nearer, we’re very excited to announce a showcase hosted by We Listen for You (sister blog to Backseat Sandbar) at Glasslands on Saturday June 26th featuring several great bands including one of our personal favorites, The Pass. Tickets are $10 at the door and free for Northside badge holders (and the pass will be well worth the $50).

The lineup for the night includes Family Trees, a Brooklyn-based band with a 50’s dream pop sound with nightmarish undertones which are both catchy and dark. The Zookeepers bring explosive energy to the set with beautifully twisted tunes.  Slow Animal is going to be one of the bands to watch for 2010 and their free EP (grab it HERE) shows why. Last, but certainly not least, The Pass is set to take over New York, playing a series of shows coming up.  Each set is sure to bring one of the best dance parties you’ve ever experienced, with five synths being played in the band, this 80’s throwback has the feel of a Passion Pit and/or Phoenix.  This will be their first New York show and is certain to be the start of a long romance with the city.
