Monotonix are gearing up for a busy winter, with their rollicking new record, Not Yet, being released on January 25th via Drag City and their tour kicking off in Los Angeles on January 27th. The album, recorded by studio legend and poker savant Steve Albini, perfectly captures the band’s live fury on wax, sort of like this. If anyone knows how to punch 2010 in the face and welcome 2011, it’s Monotonix, so before the death knells of the previous year are gone from our collective memories, they are pleased to announce their new fiery fist-pumper, “Before I Pass Away.” An ode to the recently deceased year?
