We Were Promised Jet Packs are in good company with fellow Scotsman band Frightened Rabbit.  Formed in Edinburgh in 2003, these highlanders bring emotional intensity to the forefront in their immensely appealing guitar-pop anthems. Adding driving rhythms and dense atmospheric sheen, they unfold their songs into effortless-seeming choruses imbued with romanticism and pop sensibility of more mature bands like Sigur Ros and the Futureheads.
