DONANTO SANSONE: VIDEOGIOCO

34 year old Torino based Donato Sansone clearly has to much time on his hands. Leave it to the Italians, but the man is insane. His latest animation “Videogioco” is basically an elaborate flip book created with a full room-sized floor of drawings assembled in a way so that he can flick over folded pages to create an animated story. Time consuming to say the least and how he remembers which pages to flick around is amazing. I suspect some slick editing was involved. But its clever, absorbing and brings a simple old staple like the flip book into a contemporary light. That’s a spicy meatball. Cant wait to see what he will work on next.
