As part of The Brooklyn Museum’s exhibit this month “Who Shot Rock & Roll: A Photographic History, 1955 to the Present”, are several photographs from painter and photographer Laura Levine. Not only can you check out a rare live opening reception performance on Oct 29th from Blondie but you can peep into the unique world of your favorite rockers, where Joe Strummer dreams of lobster dinner and Michael Stipe had hair. Some of these photos will be available to order HERE or you can read the stories behind these images HERE.The show opens to the public on October 30, 2009 and runs through January 31, 2010. “Curated by photo historian Gail Buckland, and featuring approximately 175 works by 105 photographers, Who Shot Rock & Roll is the first major museum exhibition on rock and roll to put photographers in the foreground, acknowledging their creative and collaborative role in the history of rock music.”
